A good night, last night for SpaceInvader, who was part of the team to pick up ‘Refurbishment of the Year’ award at this year’s Insider North West Property Awards 2019 – An event which recognises outstanding achievements of people and businesses who have contributed to the built environment.
The award was for the transformation of Sunlight House on Manchester Quay Street, a 220,00 sq ft iconic art deco building located on the edge of the thriving Spinningfields Estate.
SpaceInvader works totally transformed how the building addresses the street, creating a beautiful, airy double height reception befitting of the building’s grandeur, providing a café and co-working environment for all the occupants. The design was a sensitive interpretation of the architectural style, in keeping with its listed status.
Gavin King, Director at SpaceInvader, commented:
"It was great to be part a truly collaborative team delivering a complex and highly significant project. Ardmac did a fantastic job realising Atelier MB & our vision, and everyone involved is so proud of what we have achieved.”
